Thalassemia minor is an inherited form of hemolytic anemia that is less severe than thalassemia major. Also called thalassemia trait, thalassemia minor is the carrier state for beta thalassemia.

Thalassemia Minor Symptoms

In Thalassemia Minor, the baby appear healthy at birth, but as time past we see these symptoms of Thalassemia Minor within the first few years of life :

• pale
• feed poorly
• jaundice
