Sugarcane and Ginger Granita Recipe

Sugarcane and Ginger Granita is very delicious and creamy. Your favourite summer drink, Ganne ka Ras, can now be served in a more sophisticated way when made into a granita. Buy freshly squeezed sugarcane juice and freeze it quickly as it darkens very quickly.

Preparation Time : 10 mins.

Serves 4.

Ingredients for making Sugarcane and Ginger Granita Recipe

6 cups sugarcane juice
1 tablespoon ginger juice
6 to 8 tablespoons sugar
juice of ½ lemon

Method for preparing Sugarcane and Ginger Granita Recipe

1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well till the sugar dissolves.

2. Pour into a shallow container. Cover and freeze till it is set (approximately 4 to 6 hours).

3. Transfer to a blender and liquidise till it is slushy.

4. Scrape this using a fork and spoon into 4 individual serving glasses and serve immediately.
